The docufilm MEMORABILE, premiered on the big screen at the Cilea Theatre, is an exhilarating 25-minute dive into Reggio Calabria’s summer of 2024. Through live footage and interviews, the short film captures some of the season’s most unforgettable moments, blending high energy with poignant reflection:

  • Achille Lauro ignites the stage with his provocative style and extravagant costumes, setting the tone for artistic innovation.

  • Irama turns the square into a massive communal karaoke, uniting audiences of all ages around his radio hits.

  • Mr. Rain brings his urban-pop vibe to the stage, eliciting profound emotions with his introspective lyrics.

  • Cristiano De André pays tribute to his father’s songs in a moving, nostalgic performance.

  • The “Teenage Dream Party” bursts forth in a kaleidoscope of colors, dance rhythms, and glitter, celebrating youth pop culture.

  • Gabry Ponte revives classic dance anthems, taking the crowd on a nostalgic trip to Italy’s club heyday.

  • Biagio Izzo and the Panariello vs Masini show alternate comedy and musical duets, delivering laughs and spectacle.

  • Fiorella Mannoia delivers a moment of elegance and reflection with socially committed songs.

  • Matthew Lee honors the roots of rock ’n’ roll, transporting viewers to the 1950s American music scene.

  • Max Gazzè, backed by the Calabria Orchestra, fuses contemporary pop with orchestral sounds in a truly unique experience.

  • Paolo Belli charms with swing tunes and irresistible rhythms, getting everyone on their feet.

  • Goran Bregović introduces the pulsating beats of the Balkans, forging a cultural bridge between distant lands.

  • Fedez closes the series with a pop-rap concert full of surprise guests, leaving the audience eager for another unforgettable summer.

Through behind-the-scenes moments and firsthand accounts, the edit highlights the efforts of local institutions, associations, and professionals, showing how a united community can turn the region into a nationally renowned stage.

On the Cilea stage, Mayor Falcomatà emphasized:

“With this docufilm, we’ve captured a powerful emotion… a deep dive into the recent summer months. It wasn’t just an academic exercise, but a catalyst for the future—ever more and ever better. It shows us the potential our territory can offer, moving in communion with all the wonderful realities of our land. Institutions, associations, entrepreneurs, shopkeepers… are the best form of promotion and testimony for our territory.”
